Effie Mae received her basic nursing education at the Robert Packer Hospital, Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, PA., her BS in Nursing Education at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and her Masters in Nursing at the University of Phoenix, Northern California Campus in San Jose, CA. She brings a wide variety of nursing experiences to her current practice. From hospital, college, office, school, and Occupational Health Nursing, Effie Mae has realized through her clinical background, and personal life experiences the interconnections of the mind, body and spirit in the health of the human being.

As an Associate Professor and Assistant to the Dean in Health Science at Broome Community College in New York she was able to combine this experience in her teaching and consultations. With a wide educational background in nursing and integrated medicine, she has pulled together information providing her the expertise to discuss both traditional and non-traditional therapies with patients.

With continued additional education in energetic therapies as well as participation in a variety of health care programs for professionals, she maintains a current knowledge of available therapies for health care. Effie Mae was a member of the Great Lakes College of Clinical Medicine Institutional Review Board until its closure in March 2001. This board reviewed clinical studies generally in the area of integrative medicine. Her experience and education in the nursing profession, and integrated medicine has provided expertise in multiple and varied fields of holistic health.

Choice Healing has been a goal... a place to provide a variety of holistic therapies available for individuals looking for a path to optimum health. Her officer offers a variety of therapies from medical care to a selection of psychological and energetic models. Educational programs cover the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health. Referrals and information are an important focus for this office.
